Lucky Me?

Well, been a while since my last post.

Anyway, as the name suggests, the post is about some recent incidents that happened to me, that made me feel lucky. The first one, one fine Friday night, I lost my cell phone. Don't ask me the question what's lucky about it, listen to the whole story first. I realized it very late that I lost it. Even though I was sad and upset I could not do much about it at 2 am in the morning. We were leaving to Orlando the next day to meet our friend. We started in the afternoon, reached Orlando around 4 pm in the evening and went to the Daytona beach. None of us was wearing beach wear but we got into the water anyway. We all left our stuff - wallets, phones, camera - on the beach with one of our friends watching them in turns. After all of us were done playing in the water, we were back on the sand. One of our friends built a charminar with sand. When we were about to leave, we decided to stomp it with our foot. None of us could decide who would do it. While we were still deciding on that, none of us noticed the approaching big wave and it washed all our stuff with water. We somehow managed to save the stuff from being drawn in to the ocean. We came home, dried our stuff and only one of our friends cell worked. The next day we went to the universal studios and had a lot of fun. When I came back home on Monday, I called the bus station, just not wanting to give up on the possibility that may be I lost in on the bus , may be someone found it and returned it to the lost and found. And they actually did. They had my phone. I was so relieved and happy!
Had I had the phone with me on the trip, may be it would have got broken.
I was lucky. I have my phone now, all good and working.

The second one is a lost and found case too. I have this key chain that I bought in my first year of undergrad. I like it a lot and brought it along with me to the U.S. Last week when I came back from college and took my keys out to get in to the apartment, I found that the key chain was missing. The keys were still there. The chain of the key chain was broken. I am kinda possessive and have the habit of getting attached to my things, even lifeless ones. So I was trying not to be too upset about the lost key chain. I did not even know where and when I lost it. So there was nothing I could do about it. But after a day when I went to our lab, I noticed something on the table across mine. It was my key chain. Boy was I happy to find it again! :)

And now to the final one. Inuyasha was kinda my first anime that I watched. I liked it so much and completed all the episodes that were out. There were 167 of them. The show was abruptly ended, without the story being concluded. I really wanted it to be resumed again. I asked my friend, who knew a lot about anime and who introduced it to me, if there was a chance that it being produced again. He said they might do it after an year or two. I really wished they did that. All this was in my second year of undergrad. I graduated. They never resumed it. Not until now at least. I found out just today that they resumed it again. I am so happy. The bearer of this happy news was the same old friend of mine who introduced the anime to me.

All these things make me wonder if I am really lucky. May be I am. Or may be I am not. But for now I am happy and grateful! :)
